Planning for a Fall Housewarming Party

Congratulations! You’ve finally moved in, the boxes are unpacked and you love, love, love your new home. What’s next? A housewarming party! Invite friends, family and new neighbors if you feel comfortable. Select a date and send out invites that include clear directions to your house. You may want to include a picture of your new house with the invitation.

Plan a light menu and have plenty of beverages on hand. Make sure your home is clean the day of the party, because you’ll be taking guests on tours to show off your new house.

Why not give your guests a special thank you for helping you celebrate this momentous occasion? Here are a few ideas for easy, fun favors that are sure to make your guests smile.

Party Favor Frames

You’ll want to take plenty of pics at your housewarming party to remember the occasion. Picture frames capture images of the party forever. They’re so easy to customize, too. Paint or purchase frames to coordinate with your color scheme. Use dimensional chipboard letters from a crafts store to spell out an appropriate sentiment or note the date of the party.

Editor’s Tip: If you’d like each guest to have a photo memento of the party but printing photos during the party is too chaotic, send a party photo sized for the photo frame with each guest’s thank-you note.
