Decorate your home this Halloween with these fun and easy-to-make home accents. Transform regular vases, birdcages, containers, candlesticks and other household objects into classic Halloween décor with a little spray paint and a lot of innovation.
What You’ll Need:
- Assorted plastic and glass items (such as vases, water pitchers, lidded candy dishes, candlesticks, plates, cauldrons, plant holders and decorative birdcages)
- Matte black spray paint
- 5-minute epoxy (optional)
How to Make It:
Spray-paint all items black, omitting areas such as the interiors of serving cauldrons and the tops of serving plates.
- Use the vases, water pitchers and lidded candy dishes for decorative urns.
- For serving pieces, glue candlesticks to the bottom of plates, and then glue a cauldron or a serving plate on top.
- Set a cauldron in a plant holder.
- Line the bottom of a birdcage and use it for a serving piece (see picture of buffet).
Note: Do not spray-paint any surfaces that will come in direct contact with your party food.
